  • 1. Why should we use Cleerio and what do we need it for?

From our experience, many customers use systems that don’t deliver 100 % of the necessary functionalities, are outdated or work with obsolete data. Field workers and mobile maintenance technicians therefore lack a tool for updating asset data and the information is not passed on to responsible personnel. The infrastructure suffers as the maintenance is not efficient. In case of any unexpected event, there is a significant risk of substantial property or health damage which could have been easily prevented using modern and affordable software maintenance solutions, such as Cleerio.

  • 2. How is it different from Google maps?

Where Google maps end, we just begin. Layers of map data in our application can come from various sources, including Google Maps. But for Cleerio, maps are just the beginning - a visual element, that can be implemented into Cleerio information system and respective workflows to give the end user a better overview of his assets and property, which allows him to make better decisions. The level of complexity and management tasks that can be achieved through Cleerio is much higher than any map software alone can offer.

  • 3. What do I need to use the application?

To access the map application you only need any device with a modern web browser and an internet connection.

  • 4. Where does Cleerio get the data from?

There are three main sources of data: publicly available open data, third party or partners’ data, and your own data. Cleerio can integrate and implement data from various sources and in various formats into one comprehensible map application.

  • 5. How do we put the data in?

Cleerio offers two options. Either our specialists can fully take care of your data or we can train your specialist that will administer your Cleerio map application. There is no special knowledge necessary to become an administrator of Cleerio systems.

  • 6. How up-to-date is the data?

It always depends on the data source. All data updates are automatically available in the Cleerio system, meaning your data are as up to data as you decide. Availability and accuracy of third party data depend on respective providers and Cleerio has no direct control over this data. Map services are on-line and served based on their respective TOSs.

  • 7. Can I change/update my data?

Yes, if your data is open for editing, you can update it not only in web application online but also through our mobile app directly in the field. System administration allows you to define user rights in detail and to set up who can view and/or edit which data.

  • 8. Do I need a database specialist?

No, you don't need a database guy. System setup and data processing can be handled by Cleerio or Cleerio partners. But we can train your employees to be able to administer the solution.

  • 9. How do I administrate the system?

Either you relax and leave the system maintenance to us (which is what most customers do) or we can help you to learn how to do this.

  • 10. Can I run the system from our infrastructure?

Yes. A private cloud is a solution, currently in development, suitable for customers with their own IT department, infrastructure and specialists.

  • 11. How do I get my data back?

Cleerio creates frequent backups of your data. Based on your program, you can retrieve your data at any point of using the system.

  • 12. Does it work offline?

Yes, a limited offline capability is offered in mobile app which is an ideal solution for data collection and editing in field. Android mobile devices allow editing data in areas without internet coverage. An automatic sync function ensures the data gets transferred to map application as soon as possible.

  • 13. How do I manage access rights?

The Cleerio solution allows the administrator to set up access rights so that all users have the access to see or edit the right information. Some data can be 100% public while other might be restricted.

  • 14. What is the support of this system?

Cleerio offers an uninterrupted line of support through our partners and representatives plus a 0800 number and a support e-mail to contact us when needed.

  • 15. How does it benefit our citizens?

The information gets in time where it’s needed. At the same time, the system is fine-tuned exactly to your needs. Your citizens will have access to publicly available information and will be kept informed, which saves time on both sides and supports transparency.

  • 16. How do we actually save the money on this?

You save money on proper maintenance of your property and assets. You can prevent losses that result from neglected maintenance of your assets and technical infrastructure, you will be able to plan and budget more precisely and you will save time on gathering and sharing the information. Map application provides information that is always up-to date and updates can be performed from anywhere, at any time.

  • 17. We use an expensive GIS solution, is the Cleerio map application beneficial for us?

The two systems can coexist. Heavy desktop applications are great for creating (map) data while Cleerio is a great choice when it comes to putting the data to use. You can limit the desktop GIS to a bare minimum or you can switch to open source (QGIS for instance) and save a lot of money on licences.
